In 2011, IBPS announced a Common Written Examination (CWE) for the recruitment of officers and clerks in Indian banks. IBPS CWE is now mandatory for anyone who seeks an employment in 29 public sector and regional rural banks IBPS announces each year positions in clerical, PO and SO posts in nationalized banks, State Bank and RRBs. Those meeting eligibility criteria have to apply online, register, pay the application fees, obtain the admit card and appear for preliminary and final common written exams (mains) and then an interview (in the case of IBPS PO and IBPS SO) before a selection panel. IBPS announces dates for submitting applications, dates for the exam and thereafter dates for the interview and also intimates selected candidates.

Educational Qualification

A Graduation Certificate/ Degree in any field, but the same has to come from a University or Institute which has been recognized by the Government of India.

At the time of registering for the exam, a candidate need to be handy with the mark sheets which includes score card/ report card/ mark sheet of Standard XII as well as graduation.

Age Limit and Relaxation

It is obvious that every competitive exam has a certain age limit. The IBPS PO exam has set its age limit from 20 years to 30 years. Any candidate whose age falls under this bracket can apply for the IBPS PO Exam However; there are certain relaxations for the following people:

People who have been part of military programs for a minimum of 5 years and have been released after completion of their job 5 years

Once you have gone through the eligibility criteria for IBPS PO exam, you can easily determine whether you qualify for the exam or not. If you qualify for the exam, you are required to apply online for IBPS PO Exam . Once you apply, you will be offered an Admit Card which will serve a ticket to the examination hall.
